Q; What is Holmgoods?
HolmGoods is Chasehom Farm’s meat and dairy CSA. CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. By joining HolmGoods, you are entering a relationship with our farm and making a financial commitment that immensely helps us! The Hudson Valley CSA Coalition website has lots of great information on the history of CSAs and what it means to become a part of one.
Q: How do I receive my HolmGoods share?
HolmGoods is a self-serve, year-round, bi-weekly CSA. We have fridges and freezers set up at over ten locations throughout the Hudson Valley where you can pick up your share every other week sometime during a several day pick-up window. We try to be as flexible and convenient as possible!
Q: What types of shares are available?
We have two share sizes: small and large. The default small share includes one yogurt, one cheese, and 2-3 cuts of beef and pork. The default large share includes two yogurts, two cheeses, and 3-4 cuts of beef and pork. However! We want HolmGoods to be as useful to your household as we can and so we offer customization. You can sign up for a share that consistently includes or excludes certain items (i.e. Meat Only, No Yogurt, Dairy Only, etc.) and you can also customize your share to include exactly what you want each time.
Q: What’s special about HolmGoods?
Probably the most special thing about HolmGoods is that we don’t sell our beef or pork anywhere except our own farmstore and to food sovereignty partners. So HolmGoods is one of the only avenues for you to access Chaseholm beef and pork. We also know how important the quality of food is, and with HolmGoods, you can feel confident that everything coming from our farm to your fridge is of the highest quality and was raised with ethical standards and lots of care.
Q: What if I want to pause or cancel my share?
HolmGoods has become an integral part of our business and your commitment to the farm and the share means the world to us. While there is no specific time commitment necessary for HolmGoods, we hope that you’ll love it and want to make it a monthly part of your household. Each payment cycle covers two shares, so you’re only committing for two shares at a time. You can pause or cancel in between payment cycles at any time.
Q: I’m a vegetarian but I love this idea and my family eats a fair bit of dairy for protein. Can I have an all dairy share?
Yes! We have a Small, All Dairy share which offers 1-2 yogurts and 1-2 cheeses each delivery.
