HOW DO I GET RAW MILK 

We are legally only allowed to sell raw milk from the farm, so you’ll have to come visit our farm store. Raw milk is currently available seven days per week.

HOW LONG DOES RAW MILK STAY GOOD FOR?

If you KEEP IT COLD, your milk will be good for at least 7 days, and after that it will start to sour, aka start turn into cheese! You can use it like buttermilk in a recipe, or check out these other ways to use it up. 

WHEN CAN I GET PASTEURIZED MILK, CAN I EXPECT IT IN THE STORE?

We don’t currently bottle pasteurized milk due to infrastructure limitations. You can pasteurize your raw milk at home using these instructions. 

CAN I VISIT THE FARM?

Yes! You can come to the farm store and wave to our cows or schedule a tour for a more in depth visit. For information on when our seasonal events, check back here. 


WHAT DOES GRASS-FED MEAN? 

Grass-fed means our cows are 100% grass-fed for their entire life - no grain, no soy, no GMO feeds. All grass all year. You can read more about our methods here. 

WHERE CAN I BUY YOUR PRODUCTS?

You can purchase our milk, cheese, yogurt, and meat at our farm store, or purchase our dairy products at these local farmers markets, or find selected products at these grocery stores. See our Purchase tab for more details.


DO YOU SHIP?

Yes and No.  You can get our cheeses shipped to you! Cheese travels pretty well but we do not ship our other farm products.  If you would like to order cheese to be shipped head here


DO YOU OFFER HOME DELIVERY?

We do not offer home delivery but you can pre-order items for pick up at our farm store or join our CSA that we deliver to locations throughout the Hudson Valley. Find more about our CSA here.

  

HOW IS YOUR MEAT PACKAGED / PRICED?

Most of our products are sold by the pound. Because every animal is a little different, not all packages weigh the same amount. We've done our best to provide the average weight range, package quantity, and approximate total price of each of our products. Find all that info alongside our list of current offerings HERE. 

WHY IS YOUR BEEF/PORK ALWAYS FROZEN?

Our cows and pigs are processed at a USDA-inspected facility. Once they have cut and packaged our meat, everything is put directly into their deep freezer, and by the time we get the call to pick it up, it is typically frozen. It is very difficult for small volume farms like ours to manage fresh meat in a way that optimizes quality and reduces waste.

WHAT DO YOU FEED YOUR LIVESTOCK?

All of our animals are grass-fed. Our cows are 100% grass-fed and finished, and we supplement the diet of our pigs with whey, a byproduct of making Chaseholm Creamery Cheese, and an antibiotic and hormone-free, non-GMO ration.

DO YOU SLAUGHTER YOUR OWN ANIMALS?​

No, per New York State law, our cows and pigs are all slaughtered at  local USDA-inspected facilities.
